A few years back before kids… (what was that like again?) you always prioritized staying in shape.
You put a ton of effort into making sure you hit up the gym, stayed active playing sports, and you never had a problem taking your shirt off at the neighborhood pool party...
Enter children…
You love your kids more than anything in the world, and would literally murder another human being for them without question, but man, they sure do put a damper on your workout routine right?
You’re working as hard as you possibly can to provide for your family, and there just never seems to be enough time to prioritize staying in shape.
You’re tired.
You’re stressed.
You got 4 hours of sleep last night…
So you sleep until the last minute before you have to get up for work, feeling tired, hazy, and just plain pissed off.
Maybe when the kids go to school I’ll start working out again...
The deck is definitely not stacked in your favor.
In fact, a recent report showed that over 75% of new Dads put on significant weight (over 10 pounds) in the first 2 years after their first child is born.
So if you’re anything like me, you probably fall into that 75%...
I know how hard it can be to get back into shape when you've got work, school, soccer practice, cooking dinner, doing the dishes... how in the world do you fit working out into your schedule?
And even if you can squeeze in an hour a day at the gym, you’re just going through the motions, not really knowing what exercises will get you the results you’re looking for.
Sound familiar?
But if you don’t start to make health and fitness a priority, it’s going to have a BIG IMPACT on your life - and I’m not talking just about a little cushion for your pushin…
You’ll slowly but surely start to pack on those pounds and you won’t be able to be as active or involved with your kids as you want… which is the whole reason you are working so hard anyway right?
And don’t think that your kids won’t start noticing either…
No, they won’t care that you weigh a little bit more - a kid’s love for their Dad is unconditional, but they will 100% notice your actions.
They’ll start to notice your negative attitude.
They’ll start to notice your unhealthy habits.
They’ll start to notice that Daddy is stress eating twinkies… so they’ll think that it’s OK.
But most importantly - you won’t be teaching your kids a lesson that will help them for the rest of their lives.
THE VALUE OF HARD WORK.
The value of setting a goal, working your f*cking ass off, and seeing it through no matter how difficult.
Which example would you rather set?
I think we both know the answer.
So, now that you know that staying in shape is about more than just you and getting a 6-pack, how can you find time to actually do it?
And how can you do it effectively without spending 6 hours doing bicep curls in front of the mirror everyday?
The hardest part about staying in shape when you're super busy is finding time and making a plan.
You simply DON'T have time to sit around and think about exactly how many sets and reps you should do.
You’ve got more important things to worry about… like making sure you packed diapers for daycare.
But at the same time, you don't want to drop the ridiculous amount of cash to hire a personal trainer who will be there every day alongside you showing you what to do.
So you head to the gym and try to figure it out for yourself...
But when you go into the gym without a plan, it's kinda like trying to drive across the country without a map...
Can you get there?
Probably - but it will take a WHOLE LOT LONGER.
So what you need is a proven roadmap.
Let me introduce you to the “Fight the DadBod” 9-Week Strength Training Program.
It’s the perfect solution to get you off the couch, back in the gym with a PLAN, start getting results, and most importantly - start becoming the kind of Dad you know you should be for your kids.
